The oven lamp is responsible for illuminating the inside of your cooker, without you having the constantly open the door to check if your food is cooked. So if the bulb has blown it’s a simple replacement that can be usually fixed in a jiffy.

This video shows an example on how to remove or replace the part on a typical machine, some models may be different but the procedure should be similar.
What You Will Need:
Step 1 - Safety Advice
Safety First! Please make sure that you have switched off or disconnected the appliance from the mains before beginning any repair.
Step 2 - Remove The Lamp And The Lamp Cover
With the power turned off, you just need to remove the faulty bulb and bulb cover. Time for an eSpares Top Tip: if your lamp cover is not coming out you can warm the oven up to soften any grease around out. Use a towel or oven mitts when removing the cover to stop your hands from burning.
Step 3 - Find The Correct Bulb
Finding the correct bulb for your oven couldn’t be easier. Simply enter your model number on the eSpares website and the original lamp should appear.
If the data plate is worn and the model number is not readable, we have a range of compatible bulbs available to solve your dilemma. You need to look at the specifications written on your current bulb. In this video we have a variety of compatible oven bulbs which are all Edison Screw fitting, available in a variety of sizes.
These two bulbs are ES14, which means the diameter of the fitting is 14 millimetres. We also have an ES27 which has a 27 millimeter diameter fitting.
If the fitting on your old bulb is not a screw in fitting but has two pins at the bottom then you will require a bayonet fitting also known as BC type.
Please Note: It’s worth noting that all universal oven lamps should have a temperature rating up to 300 degrees.
When selecting a universal oven bulb you need to make sure the wattage is the same. It should be visible on the glass part of the bulb and the one shown in our video is 15 watts. Make sure when choosing a universal bulb you select the same size cap fitting so it fits correctly into the bulb housing. You would not replace a small sized bulb for a much larger bulb?
Step 4 - Fit The Bulb
Having chosen the correct bulb that matches your current specifications the final step is to secure the new bulb and replace the bulb cover.
