DOES MY OVEN NEED A NEW MOTOR
I HAVE A SIEMENS HB 905 OVEN. THE OVEN STILL HEATS UP BUT I CAN NO LONGER SEE THE MOTOR TURNING. MY HUSBAND TOOK THE BACK PLATE OFF AND WHEN THE ELEMENT HEATS UP, THE FAN DOES NOT MOVE. IF IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR, DOES THIS NEED TO BE FITTED BY A PROFESSIONAL?

- Certainly sounds like the fan motor needs replacing. I'd check with a meter that there is electricity arriving at the motor terminals. It needs an experienced DIYer to change the motor. Also note the nut holding the fan on is reverse threaded and the fan will be very tight...just wiggle and persist. It does come off.
