iv'e just had my new element and thermostat fitted , but the element will not turn off any ideas as the man that fitted it is now away for a month

Unfortunately we can offer no other advice other than the fitter has *probably* simply wired it incorrectly. With so many parts to this product it's going to be virtually impossible to troubleshoot what has been done wrong.
