Does the whole assembly need to be replaced?
The motor is very noisy and it vibrates. It sounds like a worn bearing to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On some hoods it may be possible to replace the fans on their own if they have gone out of balance. However this one does not appear to have removeable fans and would therefore require the complete motor assembly.
