High pressure clamp does not keep the high pressure hose to the power washer. As soon as the water is turned on the hose completely becomes detached. The clamp seems to be totally useless - why is this. How can I make the hose remain connected ????

This would normally indicate that something is broken stopping it from connecting, check the hose and the clamp as they may need to be replaced.
