      Red LED is flashing

      When I switch on the motor runs for a few seconds then cuts out and red LED flashes. After 10 seconds it does the same again. If I hold the switch on it still cuts out after a few seconds. The battery shows a reading of 3.4 volts on a meter. If I connect the charger red LED continues to flash.
