my wv50 blows water out of the motor vent. tank not full and I have fitted a new Water Intake Tube. help please

Window vac's only will collect water into the tank efficiently when used in the vertical direction. If used horizontally or allowed to rest not in the vertical position water will be blown out from the vent.
