I have a broken hinge. I have purchased a replacement from you which is the correct part but have a problem removing the broken one and compressing the spring on new one. Can you please advise.

We suggest you use a nail or drill bit as a 'pin' through one of the holes in the lever base (not the hinge body) to lock the lever when in the open position. Then you can refit the door.
