Beko OIF 22100x Single Fan Oven

Hi, This oven has three knobs. One on left is the selector, middle one is an analogue minute timer knob and third one is the temperature knob. In order for the oven to work, the user needs to turn the minute timer knob fully clockwise to the end and hold it while oven heats up. If you were to turn it to 10 minutes it doesn't work. It's not practical for the user to stand in front of oven and hold for whole of cooking time? Do you think it's the minute timer clock that's gone? Is there a way of bypassing this?

It is likely the minute minder has gone, there is not a safe way to bypass this part.
