why does my hotpoint larder fridge keep icing up on the interior back wall

we have to unplug fridge to defrost the ice, when we have it running the control is set round about number 2 and the items in the fridge are quite cold even in hot weather.sometimes when we have turned the fridge up water in a jug has started to freeze could it be the thermostat

    There will always be a little ice on the back wall but this should occasionally defrost itself and run into a gutter below to drain away. If the temperature is adjusting it is not likely to be faulty.
