Internal hose repeatedly becomes detached. Why?

I have refitted the internal hose to our DC50 on 3 or 4 occasions over the past 5 years, but recently it becomes detached almost every time the cleaner is used. I have inspected the hose and there is no obvious sign of wear. The cuff seal has become detached, but I carefully put it in its correct place each time. Any ideas what the problem is, please?

It would suggest that something is broken or worn causing it to become detached, you would need to identify the affected part and replace it.
