If there is no problem with the door seal and it is not over freezing it is unlikely the fridge is faulty. Fridges are designed for the market they are sold into and our fridges and freezers are expecting to work up tu an ambient temperature of 32 C. In a warm kitchen with poor air flow around the condenser the temperature can easily reach this and the fridge can struggle to cool. Thus the motor will run continuously trying to keep it cool. A faulty thermostat would cause over-freezing.
