Are they compatible for a cooker hood

I have a Rangemaster Classic Hood that both bulbs have blown!! Having looked at replacements I find myself looking for alternatives other than Range's own. Existing bulbs are 2x 230v 28w halogens with a note stating that up to 40w is possible. Would these be good alternatives and would they manage the heat from the cooker?
