After charging the machine cuts out after a short period of use but after re-charging works o.k.
I have cleaned all the filters and taken the machine down to clean everything else completely.

It sounds like either a battery or charger issue, If the charger lights and puts a small charge in the battery the charger is probably OK and the battery is likely to be faulty.
