I just asked a question to which I have not yet received a reply! Please could you tell me whether part ES177898 is a sealed unit and does it include a latch? If not how do we incorporate the existing latch?

- Just fitted one - not a sealed unit but it comes assembled and if you watch the video is easy to fit. The (plastic) latch i.e. the male part is included. I also replaced the Washing Machine Door Interlock at the same time - just to be sure and the part is cheap and easy to fit although getting the metal band back in position is probably easier with 4 hands! Again watch the video.

There is a video attached to the part page that shows how this type of handle is fitted and replaced and no it is not a sealed unit.
