How do I remove the broken handle to be able to replace with new one.

Part came with no fittings or instructions, therefore I need to remove original fitting for use with new handle. The old one is not fitted with ordinary screws. It looks like a small nut that needs removing but what tool fits inside the small hole to remove the nut? Help appreciated. Tried speaking to Customer Service but they could not help.
