Oven knob not functioning properly and if door closed oven is automatically going on.

The knob does not reveal temperature. if switch is sitting at 0 indicator and we close the oven door, the oven will switch on. We believe that the switch may be broken on the inside. Does this mean a new knob? how do we take knob off to examine it? if new knob how can it be put on? This is for Creda model 48122.

It is not the knob but the control behind the knob that is likely to be faulty. For more information see our video: How to diagnose problems with your oven http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145/how-to-diagnose-problems-with-your-oven
