What does it mean, drills into existing pipe?

I want to replace the drain pipe as well. Please confirm these parts simply replace what's already there. In other words the parts are completely compatible. Thanks

  • The part with the four screws is first fitted around your sink drain pipe . Then with the cutting tool ( the part with the T bar ), screw that into the opening and cut a neat hole into your drain pipe . Remove the tool and use the beat fittings to fit the drain pipe from your dishwasher . Put the fitting as far from the sink as possible to prevent waste water from your dishwasher from getting into your sink. It is easy to do once you see the kit up-close.. This does not replace your existing drain pipe, but allows an additinal appliance to drain out into the same drain pipe.
