I am trying to find replacement parts in the USA, in the mean time I need a vacuum! The green switch only works if you hold it down. While I an waiting for my part can I switch the green with the red switch? Are they interchangeable?

The switches work in the same way and could be interchanged. Before doing this make sure you take a photograph of the wiring as a reference to ensure you do not make any mistakes when transferring the switches.
