is this "steam cleaner button" the part which screws into the top of the tank before it is pressurized?

it looks like it, but the name "button" doesn't sound right. the screw-in plug for my Kärcher SC1502 steamer has corroded and no longer fits tightly - is this the right replacement part? Thanks
