When I turn on my K3.97M, it immediately trips the MCB in my home board. I have checked the capacitor and externally looks okay. Any ideas please?

Check for any water ingress and try with a multimeter to identify resistance from either contact on the motor and the metal parts of the motor on the highest resistance range. The most likely cause is the motor but you may not be able to identify a break down without a Megger see our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2979
