Is this easy to fit?

The original magnet on my Hoover AI130 seems to have split and rotates freely on the motor shaft. Is it straightforward to replace this with a new taco magnet?

Answer this Question (1 Answer)

  • Yes, you may need to temporarily remove the Taco coil to allow you to remove the bit of the original magnet, but once this is done the new magnet can be mounted on the shaft using Araldite or similar. Do wait for the glue to be completely dry, as there is both heat and vibration on the shaft of the motor. By APMaw - - 15 May 2009
