My fridge freezer stays in defrost mode but is ok when switched off and on. Is the thermostat cut out likely to the problem

Hi there, first, I'd try switching it off at the mains and leaving it for ten to fifteen minutes. Another thing to test is the control knob and control itself (the thing the knob is attached to). If these aren't the problem it could be your PCB, this sits behind the fridge controls. Best of luck!
