my samsung side by side fridge freezer stops working when it reaches temp and ihave to turn it on and off to get it working again ,have you any idea please

This fault is likely to be a problem with the defrost circuit on frost free appliances. These are designed to run for a period of 16 hours motor run time before they pause and turn on the defrost circuit. If the heater has failed then the sensor does not see the warmth generated once the ice has been melted and does not turn the heater off but continues to try and defrost the machine. The defrost heater/s will be on the evaporator behind a cover on the back wall of the cavity or cavities depending on model.
