Dishwasher Self Resetting Thermal Cut-Out
Control the temperature of your dishwasher with this thermal cut out. This thermostat controls the heating elements for water and if the thermostat is faulty, the dishwasher won't go to the next cycle as the minimum water temperature is never met.
Please note: Printed around the base of this cut out is: KSD201/PF

My Baumatic BDW13 dishwasher will get about half to three quarters of the way through a selected program (economy cycle) and it will beep once every minute, then stop, when you open the door there will be water in the bottom and the power and selected cycle light will be out, with no fault code. The only way to get power back on is to switch off at the wall, wait 15/30mins and power resumes, any help would be much appreciated, thanks Dave Shephard

will this still fit if the nut that holds the stat inplace on the element bracket inside the washer has a stripped thread?? 1 Answer

This machine has a standard heating element and this thermostat is mounted directly to the skin of the base to detect the base surface temperature, It is important to have 'metal to metal' contact and therefore cannot be glued in place. If you cannot find a way of attaching this to the base skin allowing it to monitor the temperature correctly we would advise not to use it as it could be dangerous and possibly lead to a fire.

No, this is a simple thermal switch as does not require wires connecting in one direction.
The dishwasher trips the main fusebox. Have noticed the element has been catching on the bottom basket and was pulled out of place. Have put it back into its clips, but it's still not heating the water and the machine is still tripping the fusebox. Thanks, Jon. Baumatic BDW13.

There is a good chance that the element has failed. disconnect and insulate the connectors, then retry. If the machine starts and washes move the timer to a new programme to force it to empty and replace the element.
