  • Yes you can do it your self. i found hardest thing is to getting the part out as my one had the heating element and the pump all in one unit, think your one will be the same. I found best way to remove from bottom of the machine. In order to do this you need to lay the machine on the floor. Use old towels to absorb water as there will be some spillage from what left in machine. Pls remember to turn water of from supply and isolate machine from electrics as well. First remove connection to Unit and make note or diagram me or few photos from your phone as a reminder.remove the whole unit first and take it out as you need to twist to part element unit and pump. It is difficult or impossible to do this without whole unit is remove. Once separate by twisting you can fixed the new element to it. I would make a mark on unit b4 removing so you know the position of the element and the pump. I always tend to mark bits when i take thing apart which make guess work out when fitting few days later. Once all fit, double check every thing. now first run a rinse cycle, then run a hot one. Hope this will help you. By Vee - Grays , essex - 19 March 2013
