We believe this may either clip on to the lower shelve to reduce the direct heat from the oven burner over cooking the edge of the food closest the flames. Or it will clip to the cavity in front of the burner. This should be shown in the instruction book for your appliance.

This is for fitting below the controls to prevent melting the knobs when grilling or using the top oven for long periods.
