This heater is in the bottom of the freezer section that does the defrost cycle.
We've tried to get an engineer to call and repair our fridge freezer but they don't seem interested in side by side fridge freezers. Our freezer doesn't hold its temperature. We've removed the back panel and defrosted the evaporator which was totally iced up, this seems to work but only until we need to defrost again. We need to bite the bullet and try to replace the part ourselves. Is the replacement going to be straightforward?

The replacement procedure would be dependent on the model if you have gained access to the evaporator the heater is usually located around the evaporator to defrost the ice. Meter the heater to be sure it is faulty before replacing.
Will this part keep my fridge and freezer at the correct temperature as at the moment the temperature is not correct 1 Answer
I have a Samsung fridge freezer model number RS20CCMS called an engineer out who said I needed this part but he said it was discontinued will this part help keep my fridge and freezer temperature regulated as the freezer top shelf does not freeze and my fridge is not cool enough

If this has failed the evaporator will block with ice and no longer allow air to pass through resulting in poor cooling. We have this part in stock so could supply your engineer to enable the repair.
