I got a pump that turns,should have also said that the pump runs when connected to supply,but it does not empty the water! faulty pump? 1 Answer

The most likely cause is either a blocked pipe, try turning on and emptying the pipe into a bucket. If it still wont empty remove the drain hose from the pump as there is a rubber flap to prevent back filling, this can stick clean if necessary.

If the pump rotates by hand but is not driven by the mdoule check with a meter its resistance (should be under 200 ohms) If the resistance is much higher then yes its likely to be faulty.
