  • Mrs H J Walker covers most of the job, but I found there was no need to "unscrew from the inside of bread maker and take out the whole section". Once the bottom plate is removed, and belt taken off (as per the helpful youtube video), I simply unscrewed the nut attaching the big belt pulley, removed the pulley, carefully removed the circlip round the shank of the old connector joint, removed the washer then gently tapped out the old connector joint from the outside into the bread maker. The new connector joint is pushed through from inside towards the outside, washer and circlip reattached, then the pulley and tighten its nut. Re-fit the belt, screw on the bottom plate and your back in the baking business! Thanks spares! By Mel Nicholls - - 15 October 2015
  • Got my husband to sort thank you. Yes you need to remove the bottom plate and take off the belt. Also need to unscrew from the inside of breadmaker and take out this whole section. Remove disintegrated connector and replace with new one! Really pleased to have my ten year old breadmaker back in use. By Mrs H J Walker - Cornwall - 21 March 2015

We do not have any information on fitting this part but if you watch our belt video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7-k7osrLAg We think this part will have to be taken off the large belt pulley.

  • There are 4 screws in the feet. - There are additional screws in the panel where the cable fits through. There is a screw in the bottom of the hinge. Once these are removed, you can slide the base from the top. Turn the machinery over. You should see a motor, a drive belt and a second spindle. Remove the belt - it should stretch enough to jump off the pulley. Unscrew the nut ( about 8mm) on the larger wheel. There is a washer and a rectangular plate to remove. This exposes the bottom of the part in question.remove the large wheel - careful it is a bit fragile! There is a split-cover shaped like a horse-shoe in a groove at the base under the threads. This needs to be prized off with a screwdriver or pliers or both. Once this slides free, the connector joint can be gently tapped and should fall through the hole. - Reassembly is the reverse. So connector through hole, split pin, wheel plate, washer, nut, belt, reassemble and screw together. - Good luck. hope this helps. - A second person to hold the parts is recommended, but not essential! - keep all the parts in a safe place.
