I can't remove the old air duct cover unit from my M9813S ,can't undo the machine screws ( X headed ) .None on the bits I tried can loosen them. 1 Answer
Before I buy I need to remove the old air duct unit but can't budge the screws. I have a good stock of tools for this job but the Servis screws seem to be ' reverse headed ' . The bit slips out when I turn counter clockwise and stays in when I turned clockwise.

If the screws are worn, damaged or some type of security head then it may be possible to remove them by either using a 'side cutter' type pliers to pinch either side and twist them loose, cut a slot and use another flat blade driver or to use a 'chisel' to knock a glancing blow on the heat of the screw ant turn it undoing it.
