Hotplate Energy Regulator

The temperature of the burner (or ring) on the hob of an electric stove or cooker is controlled by the energy regulator, which acts as an "infinite switch". If you are finding that the temperature is not being regulated correctly during cooking, it could be a faulty energy regulator that needs to be replaced.

eSpares has this replacement energy regulator that could soon solve your problem, and see you back to being able to create your tasty meals at dinner time again!

1 Question and 1 Answer

After noticing a sound of a pop (popcorn pop, cork pop, balloon under jumper pop) when using the oven when cooking two indevidual frozen pies on a tray. In at 190°c less than directions as oven has been cooking at a hotter level than normal. This happend once again and the oven would not turn off !! We have checked the Oven Elements and the right one is deformed. Melted from its snake like appearance. The left one is in shape. We removed the Right Hand Element and have purchased a replacement from You. Wires SEPARATED. We tried the cooker, just to see if my elderly parents could cook on the Hob. Unfortunatly, the oven Light switch was illumanated and the Left Element began to heat. Turning the oven controll button did not turn off the Over? Is this Due to the Right Hand Element being Removed? The Oven Switch did not make the clicking sound the other 'Hob' switches made! Has this in some way blown? Thanks in advance. They dont want to be throwing money after money. Your Advice is Welcome. The Grieves Family

You would need to reconnect the right side element so it has the correct circuit, then test the switch first and the thermostat to establish what has failed.
