This circular gasket is for the glass cover that protects the lamp in your oven.
If the circular lamp seal of your ovens light is no longer screwing on tightly then you probably have a damaged or melted lamp seal. Gaskets can wear out over time and allow moisture and excessive heat to enter the lamp housing.
