If you have ever wondered what happens to that loose change that you had accidently left in your laundry, then it may have ended up in the drain pump filter.
If the fluff or lint filter inside your washing machine has become broken or faulty, then it can cause your machine to run less efficiently, obstructing the drainage system, and potentially causing water or scale damage to your machine or clothes. Grab this replacement from eSpares and get your washer performing at it best again.
These should be cleaned about every 6 months to avoid any blockages in your machine.

There is no obvious reason, have cleaned limescale from filter and it screws up tight but still leaks. Any ideas please?

Sometimes it can be easy to fit the filter 'cross threaded' and this will prevent it sealing. Try carefully refitting and if that fails replace the filter and seal.
Dose it un screw clockwise or anticlockwise

Anticlockwise. If it turns partially and jams it is likely to be due to debris in the hose stopping the filer turning. If this is the case remove the pump and take the hoses off to clear the debris. Hi there, is this the same as a 'Washing Machine Fluff Filter'? If not, what's the difference. Many Thanks 1 Answer

Some may know this as a 'fluff filter' as it is attached to the pump body and designed to try and catch hair grips and coins from reaching and stopping the pump.
