The inner clamp band to the drum for your machine is Stock Number: ES657529 and is not supplied with the door seal. The outer clamp band is Stock Number: ES831870

  • Thanks Chris, Tur clamp band on the outside of the door seal is ok, but the inner spring-like band has come off and is warped from rattling around indside the drum and no longer holds the seal in place. This is the bit we'd need to replace (together with the actual door seal). Do you think they're easy to find as I can't see one available from ESpares. Thank you. By CC - Scotland - 24 March 2016

  • There are two small drain holes, to prevent sitting water in the rubber ring. If you position, the moulded rubber part at the top, then the drain holes will be at the bottom, where they are supposed to be By Martyn79 - Castleford - 21 September 2010

Answer this question

I have an Integrated Indesit Washing Machine. It would be really hard to take the machine out of the kitchen unit to remove any top or front -can I replace the seal by just removing the door? Also- do I need to also buy the circular fixings or can I reuse the old ones?

Answer this question

but the old seal does not have the rubber protrusion shown on the inner edge of the picture of this seal on the website. Did Oddjob have any problems after fitting the seal. the back face of the old seal is flat whereas the new one is ribbed.

As long as the seal fits and the drain holes are in the correct place then the extra protrusion is not a problem. Manufacturers will sometimes change a part in production and this lip is designed to help washing to keep away from the drum edge and nost rub the seal on spin.
