It is quite possible for most people to replace this themselves. Turn the cooker off at the wall and undo the top and turn over placing on a flat surface to access the rings. Take a number of reference photos and remove the screws holding the brackets that fix the rings in place. Carefully lift the rings over onto the new hob top and position them before refitting the brackets. Finally refit the top and turn on to check the repair.
