Two of my jets won't switch off if the lid is closed accidently. I want to order a new switch but first I have to find the old one... I'm not sure of the model we have as we inherited it from a prev owner, it has the name NEWHOME on the front, it is range size. If you can tell me where they are normally fitted I'll get my husband to take it out so I know this is the one I need. Kind regards

Answer this question

I have taken out a thermal cut out switch from my Smeg D0PPS main oven and it is connected to 2 wires plus a thin lead which is loose. They are all linked into a snap in plug. 1. Is it possible to buy the whole ensemble so all I have to do is plug it in to the socket end or 2. If I have to de-solder the wires and solder it onto the new cut out where does the loose thin wire (carrying 240V0 connect to?
