Hi John, the sensor runs from the temperature control panel at the top of the fridge and down through the body. The tip of the sensor sits in a hole inside the fridge towards the bottom of the cavity. To access the sensor, you'll first need to remove the temperature control panel.

  • I have the same problem. I purchased a sensor & discovered that it can't be fitted because the route through the insulation is inaccessible. The problem in my case was a failed electronic thermostat pcb. There are no adjustable parts on it. I have bought a new fridge - not Hoover or with eelctronic controls. Hi, To replace the fridge temperature sensor once the temperature panel has been removed, what else needs to be removed? The fridge is freezing up and not tripping off. Thanks Acesupertech

I purchased this for my aging appliance. My skills are way beyond the usual DIY and can normally repair anything. This item plugs into the PCB (no problem) but then disappears into the insulation surrounding the fridge freezer. My investigations have shown that if this part is purchased from GIAS, they supply a diagram showing where to cut into the insulation to remove the faulty one Can anyone help
