Hi How do you actually remove the od switch?

Carefully prise of the old knob using a couple or small screwdrivers. Then the switch is held in the panel by the 'barbs' on either side of the knob, carefully squeeze these together to withdraw the switch and push the new switch in to replace it.

Try turning the power off and removing the switch from the front facia. if the switch latches and unlatches when operated it suggests there is a problem with the button or facia preventing 'full travel' of the switch shaft.

If the switch does not shut the appliance off then yes it sounds like it has stuck or 'welded' its contacts closed.

Answer this question

I've just replaced the on/off switch on this model because the old switch wasn't keeping it on when pressed and released. The new switch also doesn't keep the unit on. I suspect that there is a relay somewhere that is faulty. Would anyone know which part is required?
