This is likely to be a power module fault and cannot be replaced without programming. These parts make it uneconomical for this to be carried out by most customers. Should you require a fixed price repair we recommend repaircare.co.uk as they have an extensive dealer network of over 500 engineers throughout the UK. They can be contacted on 0844 557 3701 to arrange a repair.

This suggests the machine may have carried out a self check and found a problem. Check the motor brushes and heater as one of these may be causing the problem.

Answer this question

when i plug my machine in the main house fuse trips after about 2 min , as a test i have removed this module from the machine and layed it on the table , plugged it into the wall socket and turned it on and even out of the machine the main house fuse trips again. so does it sound like this part is faulty? as im sure it should not do that even out of the machine. thank you for your advice.

  • it is certain that this filter is faulty due to internal leakage, replacement is a must, also check the multi pin connector is not discoloured or burnt as this may cause it to arc. By radarheid - Kirkcaldy, fife - 08 January 2012
