Hi Mymower, I'm afraid that without seeing your mower, I couldn't tell you what the problem is. My advice would be contact a technician or other person who could advise you.
This looks like the right part, but I understand 2 versions of the Compact 350 were made, the one with the number quoted for the part above and the one I've quoted which appears on my mower....
