My SK91800-4I fridge has no hinge pins fitted but my matching freezer AG918504I has the pins. The fridge hinges have failed. Should they have had these pins?

We have not been able to identify what purpose these pins are, if they restrict the door opening when fitted then this could damage the hinge if opened roughly. Try removing the pin on your other appliance to see what effect it has.
