My SK91800-4I fridge has no hinge pins fitted but my matching freezer AG918504I has the pins. The fridge hinges have failed. Should they have had these pins? 1 Answer

We have not been able to identify what purpose these pins are, if they restrict the door opening when fitted then this could damage the hinge if opened roughly. Try removing the pin on your other appliance to see what effect it has.

Hi Tessy, it could be the hinges that need replacing. The upper and lower hinges can be found here http://www.espares.co.uk/part/fridges-and-freezers/electrolux/p/1084/15/0/0/547661/upper-hinge.html and here http://www.espares.co.uk/part/fridges-and-freezers/electrolux/p/1084/15/0/0/582195/bottom-hinge.html respectively.
