Is there an indicator when it needs changing?
- According to the espares BWT Initium Magnesium jug page, filters last 4 weeks, enabling the user to filter roughly 120 litres of water – which is approximately 20 more litres of water more than any other conventional system, providing you with healthier water for longer!

Brita recommends users to change the filter every 40 gallons, This works out approximately once every two months.
I have a filter jug that takes the maxtra filter, can these be inter changed?
- I've used a BWT filter in my 'Maxtra' jug, and will use another one, once my surrent Brita filter finishes in a few days, much preferring the BWT-filtered water.

We believe the BWT jug can use the Brita filter so think it should also work this way as well.
Does this system restore an alkaline balance to tap water - like spring water, for example? 1 Answer

This will 'help' supplement the magnesium in peoples diets. To 'balance' water you would first need to identify the PH value of the water and add a specific amount of acid or alkaline to return it to a neutral PH.

We do not supply filters suitable for removing fluoride from water.
I have not heard of this type of filter before, is it similar to the Britta which is universally available. Will you continue to stock and supply the replacement Filters or is this just a one off offer???

My water company recently replaced the old lead pipe in the road because there was a rather high reading of lead in my tap water, there is still a small amount of lead but apparently well within EU Guidelines, would your filter eradicate this small amount?
