Ask a Question

I have a Neff U1320N0GB/01 oven approx 9 years old. It switches on ok and the door feels warm to touch after a while but when you open the door the oven is not warmed up properly. The fan is not rotating either. Is it likely to be the element or the fan? Would a faulty element stop the fan from working? thx

  • It is likely that the fan motor is not working and because the fan is not rotating the oven will not heat up properly. If there is still warmth, it is unlikely to be the element. By enormouse - - 17 May 2011

My oven is a NEFF U1410. After switching on the main oven, the element goes to red heat and after a minute or so the house electricity earth leakage circuit breaker trips out. The fan does not switch on during the heating up period. Should I replace the fan and the element? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

  • Yes it would most proberbly be the fan. Check to see if the fan propellor is stuck due to grease build up by just giving it a spin if it dosn't run replace fan By artbarb - Northants - 11 May 2010

I HAVE A SIEMENS HB 905 OVEN. THE OVEN STILL HEATS UP BUT I CAN NO LONGER SEE THE MOTOR TURNING. MY HUSBAND TOOK THE BACK PLATE OFF AND WHEN THE ELEMENT HEATS UP, THE FAN DOES NOT MOVE. IF IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR, DOES THIS NEED TO BE FITTED BY A PROFESSIONAL?

  • Certainly sounds like the fan motor needs replacing. I'd check with a meter that there is electricity arriving at the motor terminals. It needs an experienced DIYer to change the motor. Also note the nut holding the fan on is reverse threaded and the fan will be very tight...just wiggle and persist. It does come off. By Robinwm - Ashford,Kent - 05 June 2009

The fan in my Neff U1721 oven is not working. The oven heats up to below 200 degrees even when set to 220 degrees and somtimes drops below 180 and the red light does not out. Are you able to advise me if it is an oven elment I need or the oven fan motor. If it is the oven motor I need is thuis part the same as the genuine part stock no ES486135

Hi Goretti Without actually seeing your Neff U1721 cooker, it is impossible to tell what is causing this problem. What I would advise is talking to your local Neff or cooker specialist and they should be able to diagnose the problem for you. And that's where we come in! Your motor can be found here: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/cookers-and-hobs/bosch/p/1092/856/0/0/486135/fan-oven-motor.html and your element can be found here: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/cookers-and-hobs/neff/u1721w0gb%2f01/p/1092/1126/0/996714/481674/1.7kw-fan-oven-element.html
