From the literature provided it is stated most people do not receive the recommended daily dose of 300 mg of magnesium. A 2.5 litre Jug will filter 1.3 litres of water which will have an additional 65 mg of magnesium. This does not seem to us to be of a level that would significantly affect any medicines taken. However we would strongly advise you discuss this with your Chemist or any relevant health care professionals.
I have 2 brita filter jugs, so wondered if the Magnesium filter woill fit those?

We believe Brita filters fit the BWT jug so would think they are interchangeable.

The BWT filter will add Magnesium 'flavouring' the water. If you just want filtered water the Brita is the filter you require.
Can you only get the replacement filters from this company or does the jug take any universal ones? 1 Answer

What is or is not added to supplied water can be very different not just in the UK but around the world. There are many minerals a human may need that are not normally supplied by water that may be low in many peoples diets. This jug should help for Low magnesium.
