Cut to size door seal suitable for select sized ovens
How can I determine make of cooker? It has curved corners and the rubber has come lose in places. Can I buy the screws for re-fixing it? 1 Answer
cooker is only about a year old so shouldn't it be possible to re-fix door seal?

If you have to cut the seal to size, doesn't this affect the effectiveness of the seal? Does this mean you have 4 pieces that you fit to each side or 1 piece that you work around the square

We have not tried to do this ourselves but it may be possible. We would suggest you try moving the clip on the old scrap seal first rather than damage the new seal and not be able to use it.
Hi, and thanks. Unfortunately, the original part isn't obtainable. To be clear, the kit previously used wasn't purchased from you, and the cost was very different. Do you still think the kits are likely to be the same?

I would not have thought there are many suppliers who are making there 'own' kit and the seal itself is probably manufactured by the same company as the original seal but we cannot know if other companies have found a different supplier. If you order and are not happy we will off course refund or exchange as per our returns policy (see below) if you are not happy with your purchase .
Hi, I'm looking for a universal door seal, just like this one, but have been stung on previous occasions by a really inferior part. The problem was that the metal construction was so flimsy and bendable, that it could not hold the gasket in place once the necessary tension was applied (by cutting the casket 10mm short, as recommended). It just kept flying out. So, my question. How solid are the hooks on the back of the brackets? I'm looking for better than bargain basement quality.

I would be surprised if this is not the same kit as previously used and therefore would recommend you use the manufacturers original if still available. If no longer available you can 'glue' the seal to the corners with a high temperature silicone sealant/adhesive.

When assembled correctly the seal will be a close enough fit to prevent any significant heat loss but would not be suitable to prevent a leak if it was used for liquids but this is not the case.
The seal was too large top to bottom so I had to cut out two sections on each side, how do you recommend that you fix each of the two ends on each side?

The seal should be shortened at the end of a side where it can connect to the corner fittings.

This product as a replacement for many appliances and can be cut to size to fit.

A 3 sided door seal is generally used on gas ovens or top ovens, as these need to draw air in from the bottom. As heat rises, the seal holds it in at the top and around the sides.
